Finally, the hustle and bustle of the holidays has come to a climactic end. No more scrooges blaring their horns and telling you that you are number one. No more rude salespeople, creepy Santa’s or crowded malls that smell of cinnamon and spice. For now is Christmas Eve and on this cloud filled night, the only sound that could be heard was that of ripping paper and shrieking children. Andrew in his 6th year of present unwrapping and the rookie Evan, looking like the veteran, not afraid to attack the paper covering thy treasure. Andrew got a Green Machine big wheel, oh a note on the box, “some assembly required”, 3 hours later and ¾ of the family in bed some assembly became fully assembled. Having taken drafting, I have a deep appreciation for good schematics. These instructions; however, looked as though it had been put together and exploded outward with each piece floating apart from one another on the page, even the pre-assembled pieces. As you know Andrew has an affinity for art and he received many art supplies to perpetuate his craft. Evan opened a box bigger than him containing another “project” to be assembled in Area-51. This would be a 2 and a half-day project but when finished, produced a cute plastic car that would have made the Flintstones jealous. Christmas was a rain filled day in which Santa must have worn galoshes in Arizona to get around the wet state. He had dropped off presents at Alice’s house (Mother in Law) because she has a chimney. The kids got many more toys from Santa and Mom, Dad and Grandma Steele. Andrew got a guitar, Evan an Elmo Live and they both got play sets and scooters. The family got Guitar Hero World Tour, tickets go on sale at Ticketmaster soon. The festivities culminated in a dinner cooked by all, including mash potatoes, stuffing, green bean casserole and a horseradish crusted beef sirloin. Sorry for the pun, but that’s a “wrap”.

As usual, a wonderful story to go along with the pictures. And, you mamaged to put the pictures in a pleasant blend of your home and Grandma's home. May the boys have many happy hours riding around.
Good going and a very HAPPY NEW YEAR.
With love, Grandma, Mom and Alice.
